Esta semana ha traido una mala noticia para el mundo gamer, el legendario diseñador del NES y SNES, falleció.

Esto sucedio el pasado 6 de diciembre, sin embargo, fue el día de hoy, que se dío a conocer la noticia, en que el diseñador dejo este mundo a los 78 años.

Uemura nacio el 20 de junio de 1943, en Tokio, Japon, pero debido a los bombardeos de la segunda guerra mundia, su familia se tranlado a Kyoto, y debido al poco dinero de la famila, el llegó a fabricar sus proíos juguetes, con piezas que encontraba, esto lo llevó a estudiar Informatica en el Instituto Tecnologico de Chiba, para despues estudiar Técnico Electronico.

Iniciar trabajando para Sharp, para despues ser contratado por Gunpei Yokoi y su equipo de Nintendo.

Su trayectoria en nintendo fue muy amplia, pero de su trabajo, lo que ha dejado marcado a mas de una generacion, fueron las consolas NES y SNES, ya que el fue el arquitecto principal en el diseño de estos dispositivos.

También se convirtió en un productor de títulos como Ice Climber, Golf, Tennis, Baseball, así como los ports de consolas de Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. y Mario Bros.

En 2004 se retiró, pero Uemura continuó ofreciendo soporte a Nintendo, y se desempeñó como un maestro en la Universidad Ritsumeikan en Japón.
