Fred “Ladd” Laderman, productor, guionista y pionero en la industria del anime en occidente, falleció a los 94 años el pasado 3 de agosto.

Gracias a Ladd, muchos animes de culto llegaron a Norteamerica y de paso a México.

Fue el responsable de la llegada de Astro Boy, Gigantor y Kimba, el Leon Blanco, entre otros, a este lado del charco.

En la decada de los 90’s, Ladd se convirtió en consultor creativo para el doblaje en ingles de Sailor Moon.
